Andy Hampson, Founder of The Inspire Network, and an accredited Health & Wellness Coach is on a mission to change lives.
Andy loves promoting healthy authentic living and focusses on inspiring people to reclaim their health and wellness no matter their disability, age or lifestyle situations. She believes prioritising one’s health and wellbeing and creating realistic healthy habits first is the catalyst to gratitude and enjoyment in life.
Having lived with a disability since childhood and being diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa at 14, Andy is now blind and navigates her world with her trusted white cane, Audrey. This lived experience has provided Andy with the ability to see the world differently and has been a strong motivator to Andy’s passion and dedication to help people with low vision live, work and play and strive to feel inspired and live better, day by day.
Being able to connect with people, walk in their shoes and be vulnerable has given Andy an edge of compassion and understanding as she has a shared sense of belonging when it comes to facilitating groups or sharing her story on broader media platforms.
Andy is comfortable in the public speaking arena, promoting herself as a positive role model to help change the narrative of how people with low vision are perceived by the broader local and global communities.
Andy is honoured to have had the opportunity to share her story on 9Honey, ABC Radio, at Fred Hollows Foundation fundraising events, at the National HCANZA Health & Wellness Conference in Brisbane 2023, and in 2024 was privileged to have been chosen by Vision Australia as part of the National Ad Campaign for low vision, the Pupil Project.
Andy’s dream is to bring awareness and to educate the broader community by demystifying the myths surrounding people living with low vision, so they feel inspired and empowered to live with dignity, pride, and thrive.
